തിരുവനന്തപുരം (03/08/19) : ഇന്ന് പുലര്ച്ചെ ഒന്നരയോടെയാണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരം വെള്ളയമ്പലത്തു വെച്ച് ബഷീര് കാറിടിച്ച് മരിച്ചത്. അമിതവേഗതയിലെത്തിയ ശ്രീറാം വെങ്കിട്ടരാമന്റെ കാര് ബഷീര് സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്ന ബൈക്കിൻ്റെ പിന്നിൽ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. മ്യൂസിയം ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ വച്ച് പബ്ലിക്ക് ഓഫീസിന്റെ മതിലിലേക്ക് ബഷീറിനെ വാഹനം ഇടിച്ചു തെറിപ്പിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപകടത്തിൽ ശ്രീറാം വെങ്കിട്ടരാമനും പരിക്കേറ്റിരുന്നു. ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിനൊപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന വഫ ഫിറോസ് എന്ന സുഹൃത്തിന്റേതാണ് കാര്.
മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീറിന്റെ വാഹനം ഇടിച്ചു തെറിപ്പിച്ച് 100 മീറ്റർ മാറിയെന്ന നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. ഇരുവാഹനങ്ങളും ഒരേ ദിശയിൽ വരികയായിരുന്നു. അപകടത്തിൽ കൈയ്ക്കു പരുക്കേറ്റ ശ്രീറാം തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിൽസയിലാണ്.
അപകടസമയത്ത് വാഹനം ഒാടിച്ചത് ശ്രീറാം തന്നെയെന്നാണ് ദൃക്സാക്ഷികളും പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്. കാറിൽ ഇടതുവശത്താണ് വഫ ഇരുന്നതെന്നാണ് ദൃക്സാക്ഷികളുടെ മൊഴി. അപകടത്തിൽ മനഃപൂർവമല്ലാത്ത നരഹത്യയ്ക്കാണ് പൊലീസ് കേസെടുത്തത്.

Kerala journalist killed in accident, IAS officer accused of driving the car
Thiruvananthapuram : A senior journalist was killed in an accident after his motorcycle was rammed at high speed by a car in which Survey and Land Records Director Sriram Venkitaraman was travelling.
K.M. Basheer, 35, the Thiruvananthapuram bureau chief of Malayalam daily Siraj, died in the accident that took place outside the Public Office complex, a short distance away from the Museum police station at around 1 a.m. on Saturday. Despite being rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital, his life could not be saved.
CCTV footage recovered from the Public Office premises confirmed that the over-speeding car, which came from Vellayambalam, rammed into the two-wheeler that overturned before smashing into the office compound wall.
