കറുകച്ചാൽ റോഡിൽ ഡീസൽ വീണു: ബൈക്ക് യാത്രികർ അപകടത്തിൽപെട്ടു

കറുകച്ചാൽ (31/07/18) : നെടുമണ്ണി വളവിൽ ഡീസൽ വീഴുന്നത് പതിവായി. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ഇതുവഴിയെത്തിയ ബൈക്ക് യാത്രികർ ഡീസലിൽ തെന്നിവീണ്‌ നിസ്സാര പരിക്കുകളോടെ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. നെടുമണ്ണി പുല്ലൂർവീട്ടിൽ ജോബിൻ (33), ഭാര്യ സിനു (30), മകൻ ജദാൻ (9) എന്നിവർ സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബൈക്കാണ് അപകടത്തിൽ പെട്ടത്.

പരിക്കേറ്റ ഇവരെ നാട്ടുകാർ കറുകച്ചാലിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ റോഡിൽ അപായ സൂചന നൽകി. പാമ്പാടി അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയെ വിളിച്ചു. അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേന റോഡിൽ അറക്കപ്പൊടി നിരത്തി. രണ്ടാഴ്ചയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ മൂന്നാം തവണയാണ് ഇവിടെ ഡീസൺ വീണത്. കഴിഞ്ഞവർഷം മുപ്പതോളം തവണ അപകടം ഉണ്ടായി.

ബെംഗളൂരു കലാശിപാളയയിൽ നിന്നു വ്യാഴം രാത്രി 10.15നു പുറപ്പെട്ട നോൺ എസി സ്ലീപ്പർ ബസ് ഹുൻസൂരു മെയിൻ റോഡിൽ നിന്നു ബൈപ്പാസിലേക്ക് തിരിയുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് അപകടം.   

ബസ് പോസ്റ്റില്‍ ഇടിച്ച് മറിഞ്ഞതാണെന്നാണ് വിവരം. ഇടിച്ച് മറിഞ്ഞ ബസില്‍ കുടങ്ങിയ യാത്രക്കാരെ വാഹനം വെട്ടിപ്പൊളിച്ചാണ് പുറത്തെത്തിച്ചത്. അപകടത്തില്‍ 20 ഓളം പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. ഇതില്‍ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്. ഒരു യാത്രക്കാരി മരിച്ചു. പെരിന്തൽമണ്ണയിലേക്ക് ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുത്ത അദ്ധ്യാപികയായ ഷെറിൻ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. പരിക്കേറ്റവരെ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ബസ് ഡ്രൈവറുടെ അശ്രദ്ധയാണ് അപകടകാരണമെന്നാണ് വിവരം. അമിത വേഗത്തിലായിരുന്ന ഇയാളോട് വേഗം കുറയ്ക്കാന്‍ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച പുലര്‍ച്ചെയാണ് കല്ലടയുടെ വോള്‍വോ ബസ് ആണ് അപകടത്തില്‍ പെട്ടത്. കോഴിക്കോട് വഴി പെരിന്തല്‍മണ്ണയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന ബസാണ് ഇത്. ബന്ദിപ്പൂര്‍ വനമേഖലയില്‍ രാത്രിയാത്രാ നിരോധനമുള്ളതിനാല്‍ ഹുന്‍സൂര്‍-മാനന്തവാടി വഴിയാണ് ബസ് പോകുന്നത്.

ബസ് അമിത വേഗത്തില്‍ ആയിരുന്നു എന്ന് യാത്രക്കാര്‍ പറയുന്നു.ഏകദേശം ഒരു മണിക്കൂറോളം നേരം ആളുകള്‍ ബസില്‍ കുടുങ്ങി കിടന്നു.പിന്നാലെ വന്ന വാഹനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ളവര്‍ ആണ് രക്ഷാ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നടത്തിയത്.

തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ തിരുപ്പൂർ അവിനാശിയിൽ ഇന്നലെ കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസിലേക്ക് കണ്ടെയ്നർ ലോറി ഇടിച്ചു കയറിയുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തില്‍ 19 മലയാളികളാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് രണ്ടാമതൊരു ബസ് കൂടി കേരളത്തിന് പുറത്ത് അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെടുന്നത്.

One woman dead, 15 injured after Bengaluru-Kozhikode bus topples near Mysuru

Hunsuru : One woman died and 15 persons including the driver were injured in the wee hours of Friday after a Kerala-based Kallada group run interstate bus met with an accident in Mysuru district’s Hunsuru. According to police, the Kerala-bound private sleeper bus with registration number AR 01 J 5220 had overturned near the Meenu Mane Cross in Old Bridge area in Hunsur Town around 1:45 am. The bus was supposed to run from Bengaluru to Kozhikode.

The deceased has been identified as Sherin Francis who was residing in Nagpur. The injured are being treated in a Mysuru hospital. Hunsuru Police have registered a case of Section 304A (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. Three of the injured including the driver’s assistant are critical. The driver Sudheer is among the injured too.

The other people who have been injured are Sriraj (26), Anjana (25), Ansaf (27), Login (26), Pahard (20), Sharin (26), Swetha, Bhavisha, Amrutha, Akshaya, Santhosh, Shyini, Shivod.

This incident comes just a day after a similar tragedy involving a Bengaluru-Ernakulam Kerala Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus left 19 persons dead. The bus was hit by a container lorry in Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur. According to police, the driver of the container truck had lost control and hit the median. This led to the separation of the container from the truck. The wayward container crashed into the bus from the opposite side with a major impact.

എറണാകുളം റജിസ്ട്രേഷനിലുള്ള ലോറിയാണ് ഇടിച്ചത്. കോയമ്പത്തൂർ – സേലം ബൈപ്പാസിൽ മുന്‍വശത്തെ ടയർ പൊട്ടിയ കണ്ടെയ്നർ ലോറി ഇടയ്ക്കുള്ള ഡിവൈഡർ മറികടന്ന് മറുഭാഗത്ത് വൺവേയില്‍ പോകുകയായിരുന്ന കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസിനു നേരെ ഇടിച്ചുകയറുകയായിരുന്നു. ബുധനാഴ്ച രാത്രിയാണ് ലോറി ടൈലുമായി എറണാകുളത്തുനിന്നു യാത്ര തിരിച്ചത്.

15 പുരുഷന്മാരും 4 സ്ത്രീകളുമാണ് മരിച്ചത്. മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ നാട്ടിലെത്തിക്കാൻ കേരള സർക്കാർ 20 ആംബുലൻസ് തിരുപ്പൂരിലേക്ക് അയച്ചു. പരുക്കറ്റവരുടെ ചികിത്സാ ചെലവ് സർക്കാർ ഏറ്റെടുക്കുമെന്ന് ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രി കെ.കെ.ശൈലജ പറഞ്ഞു. അതേസമയം, കണ്ടെയ്നർ ലോറിയുടെ ഡ്രൈവർ പാലക്കാട് സ്വദേശി ഹേമരാജ് പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ കീഴടങ്ങി.

മൃതദേഹങ്ങൾ തിരുപ്പൂർ സർക്കാർ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പോസ്റ്റുമോർട്ടം ചെയ്യും. പരുക്കേറ്റവരിൽ രണ്ടു പേരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്. പരുക്കേറ്റ 12 പേരെ പൂണ്ടി, തിരുപ്പൂർ, കോയമ്പത്തൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ അശുപത്രികളിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ബസിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന 48 പേരിൽ 42 പേരും മലയാളികളാണ്.

രണ്ടു ക്രെയിനുകൾ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിച്ച് ബസ് റോഡിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കി. ഇടിച്ച കണ്ടെയ്നർ ലോറിയിൽനിന്ന് ടൈലുകളും മറ്റും ലോറികളിൽ മാറ്റി. കണ്ടെയ്നർ ലോറിയിൽ പൂർണമായും ടൈലുകൾ നിറച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇത് അപകടത്തിന്റെ ആഘാതം വർധിപ്പിച്ചു. ബസിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്തിരുന്നവരാണ് അപകടത്തിൽ മരിച്ചവരിൽ ഏറെയും.

ബസ് വെട്ടിപ്പൊളിച്ചാണു യാത്രക്കാരിൽ പലരെയും പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. അപകടസമയം യാത്രക്കാരിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും ഉറക്കത്തിലായിരുന്നെന്ന് ബസിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന അങ്കമാലി സ്വദേശി അജയ് സന്തോഷ് പറഞ്ഞു.

KSRTC bus Collides with Container Lorry at Tirupur; 19 dead

Tirupur : At least 19 people have died in a horrific bus accident in Tamil Nadu's Tirupur early on Thursday morning. The accident took place on the Coimbatore highway.

A Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) collided with a container truck in Coimbatore, fatally wounding many passengers. The truck was reportedly moving on the wrong side of the road.

23 passengers have been injured apart from the 19 who have died. All 48 seats of the bus were booked, officials fear the toll might further go up. The bus hit the truck near Avinashi town of Tirupur district, killing many of the passengers.

The bus was going to Thiruvananthapuram from Bengaluru while the lorry was coming from the opposite direction on the Coimbatore-Salem Highway when the mishap occurred at 4.30 am.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has instructed Palakkad District Collector to provide emergency medical care to the victims of the accident. Procedures to identify the deceased are in progress. The CM has also said that all possible relief measures will be taken in cooperation with the government of Tamil Nadu and the District Collector of Tirupur.

ചെങ്ങന്നൂരിൽ ലോറിയും കാറും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് ഗൃഹനാഥൻ മരിച്ചു

ചെങ്ങന്നൂർ (18/ 02/ 2020) : എംസി റോഡിൽ ലോറിയും കാറും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ചുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിൽ ഇടുക്കി അടിമാലി മച്ചിപ്ലാവ് മുറത്താങ്കൾ ജോസ് (42) മരിച്ചു. ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഭാര്യ ധന്യയെയും (36) മകൾ സിനുവിനെയും (മൂന്ന്) ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിൽ എറണാകുളത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.

ഓയൂർ (15/02/20) : മദ്യലഹരിയിലായിരുന്ന ആൾ ഓടിച്ച കാർ പൊലീസ് ജീപ്പിലിടിച്ചു. വാഹന പരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടയിൽ കാറിനും ജീപ്പിനുമിടയിൽപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും പൂയപ്പള്ളി എസ്ഐ തലനാരിഴയ്ക്കു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രാത്രി 11.30നു വെളിയം ജംക്‌ഷനിലാണു സംഭവം. സംഭവമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു നെടുമൺകാവ് ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണവിലാസത്തിൽ കൈവണ്ടി ഉണ്ണി എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്ന ഗിരീഷി (45) നെ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ എടുത്തു. പൂയപ്പള്ളി എസ്ഐ ടി.രാജേഷ്കുമാറും സംഘവും വാഹന പരിശോധന നടത്തുമ്പോഴാണു സംഭവം.

Three killed as KSRTC bus collides with lorry in Kollam

Kollam (13/08/18) : Three persons were killed when a KSRTC bus collided with a container lorry near Ithikkara bridge at Kottiyam on Monday morning. 24 persons were injured in the mishap and 8 among them are in critical condition.

KSRTC bus driver Azeez, conductor, a Thamarassery native P. T. Subhash and lorry driver Chengotta native Ganesh died in the accident. Ganesh was trapped inside the lorry and was taken out after 1 ¼ hours long effort. Both Ganesh and Azeez died at hospital.

The accident took place at 6.50 am on Monday. Mananthavady-Thiruvananthapuram KSRTC Deluxe bus collided with a container lorry going from Thiruvananthapuram to Coimbatore.

Five injured are admitted to Kollam district hospital and Kottiyam Holy Cross and KIMS hospitals. Seven of the injured persons are women.

It is assumed that the accident occurred when the driver fell into sleep while driving. The injured were hospitalized by police and locals. Traffic was disrupted on the national highway following the mishap.

വാടാനപ്പള്ളി റോഡില്‍ അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ 294 അപകടങ്ങളിലായി പൊലിഞ്ഞത് 27 ജീവനുകള്‍

തൃശൂര്‍ : തൃശൂര്‍ കാഞ്ഞാണി, വാടാനപ്പള്ളി റോഡില്‍ അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ 294 അപകടങ്ങളിലായി പൊലിഞ്ഞത് 27 ജീവനുകള്‍. ഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് റോഡു വീതി കൂട്ടാത്തതാണ് അപകടങ്ങള്‍ പെരുകാന്‍ കാരണം.

തൃശൂരില്‍ നിന്ന് കാഞ്ഞാണി വാടാനപ്പള്ളിയിലേക്കുള്ള 19 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ റോഡിന്റെ വികസനം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത് 2015ല്‍. ഈ റൂട്ടില്‍ ഒന്‍പതു കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വീതി കൂട്ടാന്‍ 22 കോടി രൂപ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. റോഡിന്റെ വീതി കൂട്ടല്‍ തര്‍ക്കത്തിലായതോടെ പണി നിലച്ചു. 22 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ടെന്‍ഡര്‍ ഏറ്റെടുത്ത കന്പനി പണി പാതിവഴിയില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തി. ഇനി, പത്തൊന്‍പതു കിലോമീറ്ററും വീതി കുട്ടാന്‍ വേണ്ടത് 184 കോടി രൂപയാണ്. സര്‍ക്കാരിന്‍റെ സാന്പത്തിക സ്ഥിത അനുസരിച്ച് ഈ തുക അനുവദിക്കല്‍ അപ്രായോഗികം. വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ കൂടിയിട്ടും റോഡിനു വീതിയില്ലാത്തതാണ് അപകട പരന്പരകള്‍ക്കു കാരണം. 27 പേരാണ് അഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ ഈ റൂട്ടില്‍ പൊലിഞ്ഞത്.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം (13/12/19) : സംസ്ഥാനത്തു രണ്ടു വർഷത്തിനിടെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ അപകടങ്ങളുണ്ടായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് തയാറാക്കിയ ബ്ലാക്ക് സ്പോട്ട് റാങ്കിങ്ങിൽ പാപ്പനംകോട് ജംക്‌ഷൻ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത്. ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കരമനയും മുന്നിൽത്തന്നെ. സംസ്ഥാന തല പട്ടികയിൽ  ഈ ജംക്‌ഷൻ മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്താണ്. ദേശിയ പാത 66ന്റെ പരിധിയിലാണ് ഈ സ്ഥലങ്ങളെന്നതാണ്  പ്രത്യേകത.

2016-2018 കലയിളവിനിടെ പാപ്പനംകോട് ജംക്‌ഷനടുത്തുള്ള മുസ്ലിം പള്ളിക്കു സമീപം 102 അപകടങ്ങളുണ്ടായി. ഇതിൽ 15 എണ്ണം യാത്രക്കാരുടെ മരണത്തിനോ മരണ കാരണമായേക്കാവുന്ന ഗുരുതര പരുക്കുകൾക്കോ കാരണമായി. ടാക്സ് ടവറിനും കരമന ജംക്‌ഷനിനുമിടെ ഈ കാലത്ത് 94 അപകടങ്ങളുണ്ടായി. ഇതിൽ 8 എണ്ണം അതീവ ഗുരുതരമായ അപകടങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് മറ്റൊരിടത്തും ഇത്രെയും എണ്ണം അപകടങ്ങളുണ്ടായില്ലെന് പഠന റിപ്പോർട്ട് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

അഞ്ചാം സ്ഥാനം ബാലരാമപുരത്തിനാണ്. കൊടിനട ജംക്‌ഷൻ മുതൽ ഇന്ത്യൻ ഓയിൽ പെട്രോൾ പമ്പുവരെയുള്ള ഭാഗത്തു 92 അപകങ്ങളുണ്ടായതിൽ 6 എണ്ണം അതിതീവ്ര അപകടങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനത് കൊല്ലം ചവറ പരിമണം ക്ഷേത്ര ജംക്‌ഷനും നാലാം സ്ഥാനത് മലപ്പുറം കുറ്റിപ്പുറം ഹൈവേ ജംക്‌ഷനുമാണ്.

Pappanamcode : A most critical black spot in Thiruvananthapuram

The Pappanamcode mosque-Kerala Gramin Bank stretch along the National Highway 66 passing through the State capital is the ‘most critical Black Spot’ among the 340 ‘road accident Black spots’ in Kerala’s road network.

Coming under the Karamana police station, the corridor that has the busy Pappanamcode junction has claimed the lives of 15 road users and resulted in fatal and grievous injuries to another 102 in road accidents in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

One of the 157 High-Risk Black Spots in the National Highway corridors in the State, the stretch has the highest district-wise Accident Severity Index (ASI) value of 366.

An analysis of the accident-prone stretches during 2016, 2017 and 2018 based on the ASI of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had revealed that Parimanam Temple corridor along the NH 66 under the Chavara Police station in Kollam is the second critical black spot with ASI of 357.

The corridor from the Tax Towers to Karamana Junction along the NH 66 under the jurisdiction of the City Traffic police station with ASI of 314 is the third critical Black Spot in the State. Eight deaths and fatal and grievous injuries to 94 road users had been reported from this High Risk Black Spot in the last three years.

Three High Risk Black Spots from Alappuzha (Thuravoor junction, Chandiroor, Ashramam-Karuvatta South), East Fort Junction and Balaramapuram Junction along the NH 66 in the State capital figures in the first 10 High Risk Black Spots.

The police records of the road accidents will be examined and the reasons will be looked into after the joint inspection.

പുനലൂർ നിന്നു പെരുമ്പാവൂർക്ക് പോകുകയായിരുന്ന ലോറി നിയന്ത്രണം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് റോഡ് അരികിലുള്ള കുന്നേപ്പറമ്പിൽ സുജിത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്തേക്ക് മറിയുകയായിരുന്നു. വീടിന്റെ സമീപത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കാർ ഷെഡിനുള്ളിൽ നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ബൈക്ക്, കാർ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് നാശം സംഭവിച്ചു. വീടിന്റെ മുൻ ഭാഗത്തിനും കേടുപാടു സംഭവിച്ചു.

നൂറടി പാലത്തിൽ ജീപ്പ് മറിഞ്ഞു അപകടം

മ്ലാമല (04/02/20) : നൂറടി പാലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ജീപ്പ് മറിഞ്ഞു. ഡ്രൈവർ പരുക്കില്ലാതെ രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച രാത്രി 10 മണിയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം. യാത്രക്കാരില്ലാതിരുന്നതിനാലാണ് വലിയ ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ പ്രളയത്തിൽ പുതിയ പാലം തകർന്നതോടെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട് കിടന്നിരുന്ന പഴയ പാലത്തിലൂടെയാണ് വാഹനങ്ങൾ കടന്നു പോകുന്നത്. കഷ്ടിച്ച് ഒരു വാഹനം കടന്നു പോകാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ഈ പാലത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ജീപ്പ് തേട്ടിലേക്ക് മറിഞ്ഞത്.

പുതിയ നൂറടി പാലം തകർന്നതോടെ സമീപത്ത് ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടു കിടന്നിരുന്ന പാലമാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ബ്രിട്ടീഷുകാർ പണിത ഈ പാലം ബലപ്പെടുത്താൻ ജില്ലാ പഞ്ചായത്ത് 18 ലക്ഷം രൂപ അനുവദിച്ചിരുന്നു. കോടതി ഇടപെടലിലൂടെ ഉടൻ പുതിയ പാലം പണിയും എന്ന പ്രതീക്ഷയിൽ ഒരു വിഭാഗം ആളുകൾ ഈ തുക വിനിയോഗിക്കുന്നതിനെ എതിർത്തു.

അതിനാൽ അനുവദിച്ച തുക മറ്റ് പദ്ധതികൾക്കായി മാറ്റി. ഇതോടെ കടിച്ചതുമില്ല, പിടിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നതാണ് അവസ്ഥ. ജീപ്പ് ഉൾപ്പെടെ ചെറുവാഹനങ്ങൾ മാത്രമേ ഇതുവഴി പോകാവു എന്ന് ബോർഡ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും രാത്രികാലങ്ങളിൽ ഭാരവണ്ടികളും കടന്നു പോകുന്നതായി നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു.

കോടതി ഇടപെടലും ഫലം കണ്ടില്ല, മ്ലാമലക്കാരുടെ യാത്രാ ദുരിതം തുടരുന്നു. പഴയ നൂറടി പാലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഇന്നലെ ജീപ്പ് മറിഞ്ഞത് വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ആപത്തിന്റെ സൂചനയാണ്.

തങ്ങൾ വിജയിപ്പിച്ച ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ നിസഹായരായി കൈ മലർത്തിയപ്പോൾ മ്ലാമല ഫാത്തിമ ഹൈസ്കൂളിലെ കുട്ടികൾ വിഷയം ഹൈക്കോടതി ജഡ്ജിമാർക്ക് മുന്നിൽ എത്തിച്ചു. ജഡ്ജിമാരുടെ നിർദേശപ്രകാരം ലീഗൽ സർവീസ് സൊസൈറ്റി വിഷയം ഏറ്റെടുത്തു. വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെയാണ് ഗ്രാമവാസികൾ ഈ ഇടപെടൽ കണ്ടത്. പക്ഷെ മാസങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും വഞ്ചി ഇപ്പോഴും തിരുനക്കര തന്നെ എന്നതാണ് ഇവരുടെ അവസ്ഥ.

വളവ് തിരിയുന്നതിനിടെ വലതു ഭാഗം പൊങ്ങി ലോറി ഇടത്തേക്കു മറിഞ്ഞു

കോട്ടയം (03/02/20) : എംസി റോഡിൽ ചിങ്ങവനത്തു നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട ചരക്കു ലോറി മറിഞ്ഞ് ഡ്രൈവർക്കു പരുക്ക്. മാർത്താണ്ഡം സ്വദേശി ഗോമതി നായകത്തിനാണ് (37) പരുക്കേറ്റത്. ചങ്ങനാശേരി ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി 8.24നു പുത്തൻപാലം വളവിലാണ് അപകടം. ചിങ്ങവനം ഭാഗത്തു നിന്നു ചങ്ങനാശേരിക്കു ലോഡുമായി പോവുകയായിരുന്നു ലോറി. പുത്തൻപാലത്തിനു സമീപമുള്ള ഇറക്കത്തിലുള്ള വളവ് തിരിയുന്നതിനിടെ ലോറിയുടെ വലതു ഭാഗം പൊങ്ങി ഇടതു ഭാഗത്തേക്കു മറിയുകയായിരുന്നു.

വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞെത്തിയ ചിങ്ങവനം പൊലീസാണ് ഗോമതി നായകത്തിനെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചത്. അപകടത്തിൽ ലോറിയുടെ ഇടതുഭാഗം തകർന്നു.ഇവിടെ റിഫ്ലക്ടറുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ലോറി തകർത്തു. ലോറി റോഡിലൂടെ നിരങ്ങി വാഹനങ്ങൾ കഴുകുന്ന കടയുടെ മുൻപിലായി നിന്നു. അപകടങ്ങൾ തുടർക്കഥയായ പുത്തൻ പാലം വളവിൽ 2 ദിവസം മുൻപാണു പൊലീസ് ബാരിക്കേഡുകൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ ആരോപിച്ചു.

സ്ഥലപരിമിതി ഉണ്ടായതാണ് ഇറക്കത്തിൽ ലോറി നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ടു മറിയാനുള്ള കാരണമെന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു. എംസി റോഡ് ആധുനിക രീതിയിൽ നിർമിച്ചപ്പോൾ റോഡിന്റെ വളവ് നിവർത്താത്തത് അപകടങ്ങൾ വർധിക്കാൻ കാരണമായെന്നും നാട്ടുകാർ പറഞ്ഞു. പുത്തൻപാലത്തിനു സമീപത്തെ വളവ് സ്ഥിരം അപകടമേഖല. എംസി റോഡ് വികസനത്തിനു ശേഷം ആഴ്ചയിൽ 2 അപകടങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ പതിവാണ്.

കുറവിലങ്ങാട് (01/02/20) : തടി കയറ്റിവന്ന ലോറിയും കാറും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് അഞ്ചുപേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. എം.സി. റോഡില്‍ വെമ്പള്ളി, കാളികാവ് സെന്റ് സെബാസ്റ്റിയന്‍സ് പള്ളിക്കു മുന്നില്‍ അര്‍ധരാത്രിയായിരുന്നു അപകടം.

കുറവിലങ്ങാട് ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നുവന്ന സ്വിഫ്റ്റ് ഡിസയര്‍ കാര്‍ എതിര്‍ദിശയില്‍വന്ന ലോറിയുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കാറിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന തിരുവാതുക്കല്‍, വേളൂര്‍ സ്വദേശികളായ അഞ്ചുപേരും തല്‍ക്ഷണം മരിച്ചു. മൂന്നു സ്ത്രീകളും രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്‍മാരുമാണു മരിച്ചത്. കാര്‍ ഡ്രൈവര്‍ വേളൂര്‍, ഉള്ളത്തില്‍പ്പടി അര്‍ജുന്‍ പ്രവീണ്‍ (19), പ്രഭ എന്നിവരാണു മരിച്ചവരില്‍ രണ്ടുപേരെന്നു പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഡ്രൈവറെക്കൂടാതെ മുന്‍സീറ്റിലിരുന്നയാളാണു മരിച്ച പുരുഷന്‍മാരില്‍ ഒരാള്‍. സ്ത്രീകള്‍ മൂന്നുപേരും പിന്‍സീറ്റ് യാത്രികരായിരുന്നു. കോട്ടയം സ്വദേശിനി ഉഷാ തോമസിന്റെ പേരിലുള്ള കാര്‍ കോട്ടയം ആര്‍.ടി. ഓഫീസില്‍ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തതിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്.

 

കാര്‍ ഡ്രൈവര്‍ ഉറങ്ങിയതാണ് അപകടത്തിലേക്കു നയിച്ചതെന്നാണു പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. നിയന്ത്രണംവിട്ടു കാര്‍ വരുന്നതുകണ്ടു ലോറി നിര്‍ത്തിയിട്ടെങ്കിലും അപകടം ഒഴിവാക്കാനായില്ല. ലോറിയിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചു കയറിയ കാറിന്റെ മുന്‍ഭാഗം പൂര്‍ണമായും തകര്‍ന്നു. അപകടശബ്ദംകേട്ട് ഓടിയെത്തിയ നാട്ടുകാരാണ് ആദ്യം രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തിനു നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കിയത്. വൈകാതെ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയ ഫയര്‍ഫോഴ്‌സും പോലീസും ചേര്‍ന്ന് കാര്‍ വെട്ടിപ്പൊളിച്ചാണു യാത്രക്കാരെ പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. കുറവിലങ്ങാട്, ഏറ്റുമാനൂര്‍ പോലീസും കടുത്തുരുത്തി, കോട്ടയം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നുള്ള ഫയര്‍ഫോഴ്‌സ് സംഘവും ഹൈവേ പട്രോളിങ് സംഘവും രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനത്തില്‍ പങ്കാളികളായി.

Five of a family killed in car accident in Kuravilangad

KOTTAYAM: As bloodshed continued on roads in Kottayam, five members of a family, including three women, were killed when the car in which they were travelling rammed a wood-laden lorry at Kalikavu near Kuravilangad on M C Road in the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Thampi, 68, of Ullattilpadi, Thiruvathukkal near Kottayam, his wife Valsala, 65, their daughter-in-law Prabha, 40, Prabha’s son Arjun alias Ambadi, 19, and her mother Usha, 58. According to police, the accident occurred around 12.15 am. The family was returning from Chalakkudi after visiting a relative’s house there, police said. The car collided head-on with the lorry, which was heading to Perumbavoor from Pathanamthitta. Police suspect that Ambadi, who drove the car, might have dozed off.

At same time, passengers didn’t get the protection of the air bags as they didn’t wear seat belts, according to MVD authorities. The car was completely destroyed in the impact of the collision. A Fire and Rescue Services unit from Kaduthuruthi, with the help of police and local residents, had to cut open the mangled remains to take out the passengers, who got trapped inside it. All five persons died on the spot and the bodies were shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kottayam.

Traffic was disrupted for nearly 45 minutes along M C Road following the accident. The funeral of the five persons will be held at SNDP cemetery at Veloor near Kottayam at 11 am on Sunday.

പത്തനംതിട്ട (03/02/20) : കൈപ്പട്ടൂരിൽ സ്വകാര്യ ബസ്സും ബൈക്കും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ചു. ഇരുചക്രവാഹനം ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന യുവാവിനെ ഗുരുതരമായ പരിക്കുകളോടെ പത്തനംതിട്ട ജനറൽ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.
