കൊച്ചി (12/12/19) : പാലാരിവട്ടം മെട്രോ സ്റ്റേഷന് സമീപം രാവിലെ ഉണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിൽ കൂനമ്മാവ് സ്വദേശി യദുലാലാണ് മരിച്ചത്. റോഡിലെ കുഴിക്കു സമീപം വച്ചിരുന്ന ബോർഡ് തട്ടിയാണ് യുവാവ് കുഴിയിൽ വീണതെന്നും പിന്നാലെ വന്ന ലോറി യുവാവിന്റെ ദേഹത്തിലൂടെ കയറി ഇറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ദൃക്സാക്ഷികൾ പറയുന്നു.
കൊച്ചിയില് റോഡിലെ കുഴിയില് വീണ ബൈക്ക് യാത്രക്കാരന് ലോറി കയറി മരിച്ച സംഭവത്തിൽ പിഡബ്ല്യുഡിയെ പഴിചാരി ജല അതോറിറ്റി. കുഴി അടയ്ക്കാന് പൊതുമരാമത്ത് വകുപ്പിന്റെ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് ജല അതോറിറ്റി പറയുന്നു. പൊട്ടിയ പൈപ്പ് നന്നാക്കാനും അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നാണ് സൂപ്രണ്ടിങ് എന്ജിനീയറുടെ നിലപാട്.
പാലാരിവട്ടത്ത് കുഴിയില് വീണു യുവാവ് മരിച്ച സംഭവത്തില് നാല് എന്ജിനീയര്മാരെ പൊതുമരാമത്ത് വകുപ്പ് സസ്പെന്ഡ് ചെയ്തു.
കൃത്യനിര്വഹണത്തില് വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയതിന്റെ പേരിലാണ് സസ്പെന്ഷന്. മന്ത്രി ജി. സുധാകരന്റെ നിര്ദേശപ്രകാരമാണ് നടപടി.

Palarivattom accident: PWD minister suspends 4 engineers
Kochi: In connection with the incident in which a young man died after falling into a pothole, the Public Works Department (PWD) suspended four engineers.
The action was taken as directed by PWD minister G Sudhakaran. The engineers were suspended for negligence in performing their duty.
