സുല്ത്താന് ബത്തേരി (03/03/20) : സുല്ത്താന് ബത്തേരി ദൊട്ടപ്പന്കുളത്ത് സ്വകാര്യബസ് കാറുമായി കൂട്ടയിടിച്ചുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തില് ബസ് യാത്രക്കാരനായ യുവാവ് മരിച്ചു. നെല്ലറച്ചാല് സ്വദേശി വിപിന് ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. അപകടത്തില് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ കാര് ഡ്രൈവറെ കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കല് കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
അപകടത്തില് നിരവധി പേര്ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റതായാണ് വിവരം. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ ഒമ്പത് മണിയോടെയായിരുന്നു അപകടം.
കല്പ്പറ്റയില് നിന്നും ബത്തേരിയിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന ഗീതിക എന്ന ബസ്സും TN22 BE 3846 രജിസ്ട്രേഷനില് നമ്പറിലുള്ള കാറും തമ്മില് കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ചാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. ബത്തേരി ഐഡിയൽ സ്കൂളിന് മുന്നിലായിരുന്നു അപകടം. നിറയെ യാത്രക്കാരുമായി വന്ന ബസ് കാറിലിടിച്ച ശേഷം മരത്തിലിടിച്ച് മറിയുകയായിരുന്നു.
വിദ്യാർഥികളടക്കം നിരവധി യാത്രക്കാർ ബസിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പരിക്കേറ്റവരെ കൽപ്പറ്റ, ബത്തേരി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ ആശുപത്രികളിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.

One dead, several injured as bus overturns in Bathery
Sultan Bathery : One person was killed and several others, including school children, were injured as a private bus overturned after hitting a tree near Sultan Bathery in Kerala's Wayanad district.
The accident took place at 9:45am at Dottappankulam near Sulthan Bathery. The deceased has been identified as Vipin, 27, who hails from Nellarachal near Ambalavayal. Vipin was on his way to a PSC coaching institute in Bathery.
The bus overturned after a ramming the tree as its driver reportedly lost control over it while letting a car coming from the opposite direction pass by.
As many as 21 bus passengers were initially admitted to a nearby private hospital. Those who suffered serious injuries were later shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode. The car's driver V M Abubacker has also been admitted here.
