വൈക്കത്ത് ബസ് കാറിലേക്ക് പാഞ്ഞുകയറി; ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിലെ നാല് പേർ മരിച്ചു

കോട്ടയം (07/01/20) : കാറിലേക്കു ബസ് പാഞ്ഞുകയറി നാലു പേർ മരിച്ചു. വൈക്കം ചേരുംചുവടിലാണ് സംഭവം. കാറിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിലെ അംഗങ്ങളാണു മരിച്ചത്. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പുലർച്ചെ ആറോടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്.

ഉദയംപേരൂർ പത്താം മൈൽ മനയ്ക്കപ്പടി വിശ്വനാഥൻ, ഭാര്യ ഗിരിജ, മകൻ സൂരജ്, വിശ്വനാഥന്റെ അനിയന്റെ ഭാര്യ അജിത എന്നിവർ സംഭവ സ്ഥലത്തുവച്ചു തന്നെ മരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

മൂന്നുറോഡുകള്‍ ചേരുന്ന ജംക്‌ഷനിലാണ് അപകടം. ഇടറോഡില്‍ നിന്ന് പ്രധാനറോഡിലേക്ക് കയറിയ കാര്‍ ബസിന് മുന്നില്‍പ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇരു വാഹനങ്ങളും വേഗത്തിൽ വന്നതാണ് ഇത്തരത്തിൽ വലിയ ആഘാതമുണ്ടാകാൻ കാരണമെന്നാണ് വിവരം.

കാറിനു മുകളിലൂടെ ബസ് കയറിയിറങ്ങി തൊട്ടടുത്തുള്ള മതിലിൽ ഇടിച്ചാണ് നിന്നത്. അമിത വേഗമാണ് അപകട കാരണമെന്നാണ് സൂചന. വൈക്കം ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് വന്നിരുന്ന ബസ് ഇടറോഡിൽ നിന്നു കയറിവന്ന കാറിൽ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. വൈക്കം– എറണാകുളം റൂട്ടിലോടുന്ന ബസ്സാണ് ഇടിച്ചത്.

കോട്ടയം (08/01/20) : പമ്പയിൽ നിന്ന് എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് പോയ കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസും സൈക്കിളും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് മധ്യവയസ്കൻ മരിച്ചു. ഉദയനാപുരം സ്വദേശി ഗോപിയാണു (65) മരിച്ചത്. ചെറു കലുങ്കിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രധാന വഴിയിലേക്ക് സൈക്കിളിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ ബസ് ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.

Four of a family killed as bus rams car at Vaikom

Kottayam: Four members of a family were killed as a bus rammed their car at Cherumchuvadu at Vaikom in Kerala's Kottayam district during the wee hours of Tuesday.

Udayamperoor native Vishwanathan, wife Girija, son Sooraj and Vishwanathan's sister-in-law Ajitha were the victims. They died on the spot.

The bus ran over the car and hit a wall, before coming to a halt. The car was completely destroyed after it came under the wheels of the bus.

The Vaikom-bound bus rammed the car that entered the main road from a side street. It is suspected that over-speeding of the bus could have caused the accident.
