കൊട്ടാരക്കര (18/03/20) : എംസി റോഡിൽ കലയപുരത്ത് പെട്രോൾ പമ്പിനു സമീപം ജീപ്പുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് ബൈക്ക് യാത്രികരായ 2 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ മരിച്ചു. മുഹമ്മദ് റാഷിദ് (18), അൽ ഫഹദ് (17) എന്നിവരാണ് ബുധനാഴ്ച രാത്രി 10:30ക്ക് അപകടത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട് മരിച്ചത്.
പെട്രോൾ പമ്പിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തേക്ക് വന്ന ജീപ്പുമായി റാഷിദും അൽ ഫഹദും സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബൈക്ക് കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. മറ്റൊരു ബൈക്കിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന അൽ ഫഹദിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അൽഫാസ് (18), രജിത് (18) എന്നിവർ തിരുവനന്തപുരം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്. ഒരേ ബൈക്കിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചവരാണ് മരിച്ചവർ രണ്ടുപേരും. കൊല്ലത്തെ ബന്ധുവീട്ടിൽനിന്നും രണ്ടു ബൈക്കുകളിലായി മടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. മൃതദേഹം പോസ്റ്റ് മോർട്ടത്തിന് ശേഷം വിട്ടു കൊടുത്തു.

Two students killed in an accident on MG road
The accident took place around 10.30 pm on Wednesday near Kalayapuram in Kottarakkara when two bikes collided with a jeep resulting in the death of two students. Two students were severely injured in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Rashid (18) and Al Fahad (17). The injured, Alfas(18) and Bijith(17), are undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital.
All the four were students of Thykkavu Govt HSS, Pathanamthitta. They were on their way back after visiting a relative's house in Anchalummoodu. According to witnesses, the two bikes went on to collide with the jeep that was coming out from a petrol pump. Though the four were immediately rushed to the hospital, both Rashid and Al Fahad succumbed to their injuries before reaching the hospital. The two bodies were handed over to their families after post mortem.
