അലപ്പുഴ (04/05/2020): എൻഎച്ച് -66 ൽ ഇൻസുലേറ്റ് ചെയ്ത വാൻ തന്റെ ഇരുചക്രവാഹനവുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് സർക്കാർ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ മരിച്ചു.
ബിനു ഗോപാലകൃഷ്ണൻ (48) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഡ്യൂട്ടിക്ക് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ഓഫീസിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്നു. രാവിലെ ആറുമണിയോടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായതെന്നും പാൽ പാക്കറ്റുകൾ എടുക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച വാൻ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്ന് എറണാകുളത്തേക്ക് മടങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നും ഹരിപാഡ് പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. വാൻ ഡ്രൈവറുടെ മൊഴി പ്രകാരം ദേശീയപാതയിൽ ഒരു സൈക്ലിസ്റ്റിനെ കണ്ട അവർ പെട്ടെന്ന് ബ്രേക്ക് പ്രയോഗിക്കുകയും പിന്നീട് അത് ഇരുചക്രവാഹനവുമായി കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു, ”പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
ALAPPUZHA(04/05/2020): A government official was killed after an insulated van collided with his two-wheeler on NH-66 at Karuvatta in Alappuzha on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Binu Gopalakrishnan, (48). He was going to office in Thiruvananthapuram for his duty. Haripad police said that the accident took place around 6am and the van that used for carrying milk packets was returning to Ernakulam from Thiruvananthapuram. "As per the statements of the van driver, they have applied sudden brake seeing a cyclist on the national highway and then it collided with the two-wheeler," the police said.
