KOCHI(16-05-2020): Two persons were killed and at least three others injured after a jeep collided with a truck at Mulanthuruthy in Ernakulam district on Saturday morning.The deceased have been identified as Sundereshanmani (38) of Kaduthuruthy, Kottayam and Babu (54) of Muttuchira, Kottayam. Police said that the duo died on the spot.According to police, the deceased were workers engaged in road repair works and were travelling in the jeep. The jeep was overtaking another vehicle when it collided with a truck at around 6.30 am on Saturday(16-5-2020). Mulanthuruthy police have registered an FIR under 304 A (Causing death by negligence) of the IPC. At least three persons sustained injuries in the accident and are under treatment at a hospital in Tripunithura. This is the third accident reported from the district in a short span of time ever since the lockdown restrictions were lifted. Over a week ago, in an accident reported near Muttom in Aluva, three people, including a girl, died when a car went out of control and rammed into them. Roads safety experts have warned that this transition period is a dangerous time for commuters and they have to be extra careful while driving through the roads in the district as there are fewer vehicles on the road and there are chances of callous driving by many.
കൊച്ചി (16-05-2020): എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ മുളന്തുറുട്ടിയിൽ ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ ജീപ്പ് ട്രക്കിൽ കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് രണ്ട് പേർ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്ന് പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മരിച്ചവരെ കടുത്തുരുത്തി, കോട്ടയം, സുന്ദരേഷ്മണി (38) എന്നിവരാണ് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത്. കോട്ടയം മുത്തുചിറയിലെ ബാബു (54). ഇരുവരും സംഭവസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചുതന്നെ മരിച്ചുവെന്ന് പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. റോഡ് നന്നാക്കൽ ജോലികളിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നവരും ജീപ്പിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നവരുമാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ശനിയാഴ്ച (16-5-2020) രാവിലെ 6.30 ഓടെ ജീപ്പ് മറ്റൊരു വാഹനത്തെ മറികടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഐപിസിയുടെ 304 എ (അശ്രദ്ധമൂലം മരണകാരണം) പ്രകാരം മുലന്തുറുട്ടി പോലീസ് എഫ്ഐആർ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്തു. അപകടത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് പേർക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. ത്രിപുനിത്തുറയിലെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്. ലോക്ക്ഡൗൺ നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങൾ നീക്കിയതിന് ശേഷം ചുരുങ്ങിയ സമയത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ജില്ലയിൽ നിന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ അപകടമാണിത്. ഒരാഴ്ച മുമ്പ്, ആലുവയിലെ മട്ടോമിന് സമീപം ഉണ്ടായ ഒരു അപകടത്തിൽ, ഒരു കാർ നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട് അവയിൽ ഇടിച്ച് ഒരു പെൺകുട്ടി ഉൾപ്പെടെ മൂന്ന് പേർ മരിച്ചു. ഈ പരിവർത്തന കാലയളവ് യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് അപകടകരമായ സമയമാണെന്നും റോഡിൽ വാഹനങ്ങൾ കുറവായതിനാൽ ജില്ലയിലൂടെ റോഡുകളിലൂടെ വാഹനമോടിക്കുമ്പോൾ കൂടുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധാലുവായിരിക്കണമെന്നും റോഡുകൾ സുരക്ഷാ വിദഗ്ധർ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ്
