തിരുവനന്തപുരം (14/06/20) : ദേശീയപാതയിൽ ആറ്റിങ്ങൽ ടിബി ജംക്ഷനു സമീപം ഞായറാഴ്ച രാത്രി 11.30ന് കാറും പാലുമായെത്തിയ ടാങ്കർ ലോറിയും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ചുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിൽ മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം മൂന്നായി. പരുക്കേറ്റ അഞ്ചു പേരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരുടെ നില അതീവ ഗുരുതരം. നവദമ്പതികളെ വധുവിന്റെ മംഗലപുരത്തെ വീട്ടിലാക്കി മടങ്ങിയ കല്ലുവാതുക്കൽ സ്വദേശികളായ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ സഞ്ചരിച്ച കാറാണ് അപകടത്തിൽപ്പെട്ടത്.
ബിജെപി ന്യൂനപക്ഷ മോർച്ച ചാത്തന്നൂർ നിയോജക മണ്ഡലം വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റും കല്ലുവാതുക്കൽ സജിന മൻസിലിൽ നാസറിന്റെ മകനുമായ അസീം (33), അടുതല നടയ്ക്കൽ പ്രിൻസിയത്തിൽ കുഞ്ഞുരാമക്കുറുപ്പിന്റെ മകൻ പ്രിൻസ് (29), അടുതല നടയ്ക്കൽ മനേഷ് ഭവനിൽ മണികണ്ഠൻ പിള്ളയുടെ മകൻ മനേഷ് (29) എന്നിവരാണു മരിച്ചത്.
പൂർണമായും തകർന്ന കാർ വെട്ടിപ്പൊളിച്ചാണ് ഉള്ളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നവരെ പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. അസീമിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള കാർ അഖിലാണ് ഓടിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്നു പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. അപകടത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് മണിക്കൂറുകളോളം ദേശീയപാതയിൽ ഗതാഗത തടസ്സമുണ്ടായി.

Three dead, five injured in car-truck collision near Attingal
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three people died and five others were left critically injured when a car collided with a lorry at TB junction near Attingal on Sunday midnight.
The deceased were identified as Azeem, Maneesh and Prince- all natives of Kalluvathukkal in Kollam district.
The police said they were travelling with five others in a car headed to Kalluvathukkal from Thiruvananthapuram after attending a marriage function.
The lorry that hit their car was carrying cartons of milk.
The two vehicles collided head-on and in the impact, the car was thrown into a mud bank nearby where it turned turtle.
The exact reason for the collision however, is not known yet.
The police and fire and rescue personnel had a tough time pulling out the injured from the mangled vehicle.
They have been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.
