ചെറുപുഴ ഭാഗത്തേയ്ക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന പിക്കപ്പ് വാന് കുഞ്ഞപ്പന്റെ സൈക്കിളിലേക്ക് ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കുഞ്ഞപ്പനെ ഉടന് പയ്യന്നൂരിലെ ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് പരിയാരം മെഡിക്കല് കോളേജിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. പക്ഷേ സാരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റതിനാല് ജീവന് രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല.
Payyannur (13.06.2020): A cyclist was killed when a tempo van hit him. The deceased has been identified as Panothe Mundayad Krishnan, 64. The accident happened when he was returning on a bicycle to buy milk. The accident took place near a hotel in Kundayamkovil on Saturday morning.
The pickup van was heading towards Cherupuzha when it hit Kunjappan's bicycle. Kunhappan was rushed to a hospital in Payyanur. He was later transferred to Pariyaram Medical College. But he could not save his life due to serious injuries.
