മച്ചിപ്ളാവ് വാഹനാപകടം; പരിക്കേറ്റ വീട്ടമ്മ മരിച്ചു

അടിമാലി (05-06-2020):ധനുഷ്‌ക്കോടി ദേശിയപാതയില്‍ അടിമാലി മച്ചിപ്ലാവിൽ ആട്ടോറിക്ഷ മിനി ലോറിയിലും, ട്രാവലറിലും ഇടിച്ചുണ്ടായ അപകടത്തിൽ പരിക്കേറ്റ വീട്ടമ്മ മരിച്ചു. കുട്ടി ഉൾപ്പെടെ 4 പേർക്ക് സാരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റു. ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷയില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്തിരുന്ന മാങ്കുളം വേലിയാംപാറ ചേന്നോത്ത് രാജപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യ കമല (52) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഭർത്താവ് രാജപ്പന്‍ (56), മകളുടെ മകന്‍ ശബരിനാഥ്  (7), ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ ഡ്രൈവറും ഉടമയുമായ മാങ്കുളം സ്വദേശി തോണിപ്ളാക്കൽ ബിനു (23), ട്രാവലര്‍ ഓടിച്ചിരുന്ന രാജകുമാരി സ്വദേശി ഷാല്‍ബി (26) എന്നിവർക്കാണ് പരിക്കേറ്റത്. ഇതിൽ രാജപ്പൻ്റെയും, ശബരിനാഥിൻ്റെയും പരിക്ക് ഗുരുതരമാണ്.

രാവിലെ പതിനൊന്നോടെ മച്ചിപ്ളാവ് സ്കൂൾ പടിയിലാണ് അപകടം നടന്നത്. മാങ്കുളത്തെ വീട്ടിലായിരുന്ന കുട്ടിയെ കോതമംഗലം കുത്തുകുഴിയിലുള്ള മകളുടെ വീട്ടിലാക്കാന്‍ ആട്ടോയിൽ പോകുകയായിരുന്നു രാജപ്പനും കുടുംബവും. വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ പരസ്പരം മറികടന്ന് പോകാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ദൃക്‌സാക്ഷികൾ പറഞ്ഞു. 

ഇടിയുടെ ആഘാതത്തില്‍ ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായി തകര്‍ന്നു. ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ യാത്രികരെ അടിമാലി താലൂക്കാശുപത്രിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ച് പ്രഥമ ശുശ്രൂഷ നല്‍കിയ ശേഷം വിദഗ്ധ ചികത്സക്കായി എറണാകുളത്തേയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി. എന്നാൽ ഇതിനിടെ അതീവ ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിലായ കമലയെ കോതമംഗലത്ത് സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. അടിമാലി പോലീസും ഫയര്‍ഫോഴ്‌സും അപകടസ്ഥലത്ത് എത്തി തുടര്‍ നടപടി സ്വീകരിച്ചു.

Adimali (05-06-2020): A housewife was killed in an accident involving an autorickshaw mini lorry and a traveler at Machimapla, Adimali on the Dhanushkodi National Highway. Four people, including a child, were seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Kamala, 52, wife of Chennoth Rajappan of Veliyampara, Mankulam. The injured were identified as husband Rajappan (56), daughter's son Sabrinath (7), autorickshaw driver and owner Thoniplakkal Binu (23) of Mankulam and princess Shalbi (26) of Traveler. The injuries of Rajappan and Sabrinath are serious.

The accident took place at 11 am on the steps of Machiplavu school. Rajappan and his family were going in an auto to take the child from his house in Mankulam to his daughter's house in Kothamangalam. Witnesses said the vehicles collided while trying to overtake each other.

The autorickshaw was completely destroyed by the impact of the thunder. The seriously injured autorickshaw passengers were rushed to the Adimali Taluk Hospital for first aid and then taken to Ernakulam for specialist treatment. Meanwhile, Kamala was rushed to a private hospital in Kothamangalam but could not save her life. Adimali police and firefighters arrived at the scene and took further action.
