കല്ലമ്പലം (07-08-2020): ദേശീയപാതയിൽ നാവായിക്കുളം വലിയപള്ളിക്കു സമീപം ചരക്ക് ലോറിയും മിനിലോറിയും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് ഒരാൾക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. മിനി ലോറിയുടെ ഡ്രൈവർ കിഴുവിലം സ്വദേശി രാജേഷിനാണ് (30) പരിക്കേറ്റത്. 06-08-2020 വൈകിട്ട് അഞ്ചു മണിയോടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ചരക്കിറക്കിയശേഷം കർണാടകയിലേക്ക് പോകുകയായിരുന്ന ലോറിയുടെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗത്ത് എതിർ ദിശയിൽ നിന്ന് നിയന്ത്രണം തെറ്റി വന്ന മിനി പാഴ്സൽ ലോറി ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് വട്ടം കറങ്ങിയ മിനി ലോറി ഇടതു വശത്തുള്ള കുഴിയിലേക്കിറങ്ങി നിന്നു. അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായ അപകടത്തിൽ പകച്ച് ചരക്കുലോറിയുടെ ഡ്രൈവർ ഹരിയാന സ്വദേശി മുബിൻ ഒരുവശത്തേക്ക് വാഹനം വെട്ടിത്തിരിച്ചതോടെ വൈദ്യുതി പോസ്റ്റും തകർത്ത് മൈൽകുറ്റിയിലിടിച്ചു നിന്നു. വൈദ്യുതി കമ്പികൾ കൂട്ടിമുട്ടി തീയും പുകയുമായി റോഡിൽ പൊട്ടി വീണെങ്കിലും ഷോക്കേറ്റ് ആർക്കും ആളപായമുണ്ടായില്ല.കല്ലമ്പലം കെ.എസ്.ഇ.ബി ജീവനക്കാരെത്തി വൈദ്യുതി ബന്ധം വേർപ്പെടുത്തിയെങ്കിലും വളരെ വൈകിയും പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കാനായില്ല. കല്ലമ്പലം എസ്.ഐ ഗംഗാ പ്രസാദിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പൊലീസ് സംഘം സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി സ്ഥിതിഗതികൾ വിലയിരുത്തി ഗതാഗതം നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. പരിക്കേറ്റയാളെ സമീപത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.
Kallambalam (07-08-2020): A man was injured when a goods lorry and a mini lorry collided near Navaikkulam Valiyapalli on the National Highway. The driver of the mini lorry, Rajesh (30) from Kizhuvilam was injured. The incident took place on 06-08-2020 at 5 pm. The lorry was on its way to Karnataka after unloading at Thiruvananthapuram when it collided with a mini parcel lorry which went out of control from the opposite direction. The mini lorry then spun around and came to a halt in a ditch on the left. Mubin, a Haryana native, was the driver of the truck in the accident when it overturned, smashing a power post and hitting a milepost. The power lines collided and the road burst into flames and smoke, but no one was injured. The power supply to Kallambalam was cut off by KSEB employees but it was too late to restore power. A police team led by Kallambalam SI Ganga Prasad reached the spot, assessed the situation and controlled traffic.
