ചെര്ക്കള (29.09.2020): ബെല്ഗാമില് നിന്നും പയ്യന്നൂരിലേക്ക് പഞ്ചസാര കയറ്റി പോകുകയായിരുന്ന ലോറി ബസ് വെയിറ്റിംഗ് ഷെഡിലേക്ക് പാഞ്ഞുകയറി. എതിരെ നിന്നും അമിതവേഗതയില് തെറ്റായ ദിശയിലെത്തിയ കാറിലിടിക്കാതിരിക്കാന് വെട്ടിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് അപകടം സംഭവിച്ചത്.ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1.45 മണിയോടെ ചെങ്കള പ്രാഥമികാരോഗ്യകേന്ദ്രത്തിന് മുന്നിലാണ് സംഭവം.ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിന്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത് ഒരാള് ഉറങ്ങി കിടന്നിരുന്നു. സമീപം ബസ് കയറാന് ആളുകള് നില്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഡ്രൈവറുടെ മനസാന്നിധ്യമാണ് വന് ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവാക്കിയത്.ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിന്്റെ മേല്ക്കൂര പൊളിഞ്ഞ് തൊട്ടടുത്ത മരത്തില് തട്ടി നിന്ന് ലോറിയുടെ മുകളിലേക്ക് തകര്ന്നു വീണു. അവിടെ മരം ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നെങ്കില് മേല്ക്കൂര ഉറങ്ങി കിടന്ന ആളുടെ മുകളില് വീണ് ചതഞ്ഞരയുമായിരുന്നു. ലോറി ഡ്രൈവര് ശങ്കരപ്പയും ക്ലീനര് മോഹനനും ബസ് കാത്ത് നിന്നവരും അത്ഭുതകരമായാണ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്.
Cherkala (29.09.2020): A lorry carrying sugar from Belgaum to Payyanur ran into a bus waiting shed. The accident took place at around 1.45 pm on Tuesday in front of the Chengala Primary Health Center. People were standing nearby to board the bus. The roof of the bus stop collapsed and hit a nearby tree, causing the lorry to collapse on top of the lorry. If there was no wood, the roof would have collapsed on top of the sleeping man. The lorry driver Sankarappa, cleaner Mohanan and those waiting for the bus miraculously escaped.
